Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl packs 12 tracks into a focused pop album, bringing together romance, fame, personal reflection, and the pressures that come with life in public.
Released in October 2025, the album was written and produced by Swift with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback. Its tracklist moves from the Shakespeare-inspired opener “The Fate of Ophelia” through songs including “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” “Father Figure,” “Actually Romantic,” “Wood” and “Honey.”
Several tracks approach familiar Swift themes from different angles. “Elizabeth Taylor” connects celebrity and romance with the image of the Hollywood icon, while “Father Figure” explores power and complicated professional relationships. “Opalite” takes a brighter approach, centering on finding happiness after difficult experiences.
The record closes with its title track, “The Life of a Showgirl,” featuring Sabrina Carpenter. Together, the 12 songs present a compact chapter in Swift’s catalog, combining polished pop production with stories about relationships, public attention, and the experiences surrounding her life as a performer.
